Why I am leaving Social Media
Why I’m stepping away from Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter and not joining TikTok, BeReal, or other platforms.
I’m taking control of where my personal data goes and what gets my attention. I also do not want to contribute, with my presence, to those platforms I don’t support. That’s why I’ve deleted my accounts on most social media platforms.
I was never much of a poster anyway — I rarely shared content on these platforms. But now I’m taking it a step further by shutting down the accounts entirely. I want to be more intentional about where I invest my time and energy, rather than letting algorithms decide what deserves my attention.
This change is about being more deliberate with my digital life — focusing on meaningful connections and content that actually adds value to my thinking and yours.
